Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Linkdful ("we", "us") is a platform that lets groups run their own community space with events, RSVPs, chat and members. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use linkdful.com and the Linkdful app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account details — your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and optionally your gender and a profile photo.
  • Google sign-in — if you choose "Continue with Google", we receive your Google account ID, name and verified email address. We do not receive your Google password or access to any other Google data.
  • Community activity — the communities you join or create, events you create, your RSVPs and guest counts, chat messages, and photos you upload.
  • Payments — if a subscription is required, payment is handled by PayPal. We store only the PayPal subscription ID; we never see or store your card or bank details.
  • Notifications — if you enable push notifications, we store the notification endpoint your browser provides so we can deliver event chat updates.
  • Technical data — your IP address (used for rate limiting and preventing abuse) and cookies needed to keep you signed in and protect forms.

How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in.
  • To run the communities you belong to — showing events, attendee lists and chat to other members.
  • To send account emails such as email verification and password resets, and notifications you've opted into.
  • To process subscriptions where they apply.
  • To prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and keep the service working.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your information

  • Other community members can see your name, profile photo, RSVPs and chat messages within communities you belong to.
  • Community admins and moderators can manage members and attendee lists for their community.
  • The public — if a community enables its events widget or RSS feed, upcoming event titles, dates and times are published openly. Locations and attendees are never included.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run Linkdful, who process data on our behalf:

  • Google — Google sign-in and reCAPTCHA (spam protection on sign-up and sign-in forms).
  • PayPal — subscription payments.
  • Hosting and email providers — to store data and deliver account emails.
  • Browser push services (e.g. Google, Apple, Mozilla) — to deliver notifications you've enabled.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in and a security token to protect forms. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to, we delete your personal data, except where we need to keep limited records for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons.

Your rights

You can view and update your details on your account page. You can also ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we process it, by emailing hello@linkdful.com. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted with HTTPS, and access to data is limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Age requirement

Linkdful is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let you know through the service or by email.
